Regis Celebrates Christmas Mass
On Wednesday, December 21, the Regis community gathered in the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola to celebrate Christmas Mass as a school before break.
Fr. Christopher J Devron, SJ presided over the day's service, and delivered a homily focused on the importance of spreading joy throughout the Christmas holiday. Using the message found within “The Little Drummer Boy," Fr. Devron reminded students, faculty, and staff that, “even in our poverty and what we don’t have, we can always find something to give to someone else, a talent or something authentic that brings joy.”
Regis Schola offered their talents to the Mass with their performances of classic Christmas songs, including “Hark the Herald Angels Sing," “Silent Night," and “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel." Following the Mass, students returned to their respective advisements for Christmas celebrations before departing for break.
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and look forward to seeing you back at 84th St. in the new year!
