Regis Rep Charms With Production of Something Rotten!
The Regis Repertory delighted audiences with its fall production, Something Rotten!, during three performances from December 14–16. Set in 1595 London, the musical explores the comedic and heartwarming intricacies of two brothers finding success in the theater in the wake of William Shakespeare's stardom.
The show, organized by Regis Rep moderator Ms. Gena Reisig and directed by Ms. Maura Malloy, highlighted the talents of student actors from Regis and its sister schools. As always, the tireless effort from the stage crew, set designers, musicians, tech crew, and stage managers made the performances possible. The orchestra — organized by Music Director Mr. Tim Sauer and conducted by Mr. Stephen Murphy — featured Regis students and other musicians.
"The great thing about the Rep is that you are able to meet people who aren't in your class year or who go to other schools, especially when you are putting on a show as fun as Something Rotten!" said Ryder Kirby '25, who played Nigel Bottom. "The experience was truly rewarding after putting in so much time with the other actors and crew members."
