Regis Celebrates Spirit Week!
Beginning Tuesday, January 18, the Regis community came together for our annual Spirit Week. Students, faculty, and staff participated in a variety of activities throughout the week, organized as a way to further celebrate our school.
This year’s Spirit Week, organized by Student Government, featured daily themed Grub Days that encouraged the community to have fun and express their creativity. Tuesday and Wednesday were Pajama Day and Beach Day respectively, and Thursday and Friday rounded out the week with Jersey Day and Regis Red Day. Thursday also hosted “Anything But A Backpack” Day, which challenged students to carry around their daily belongings in anything but a traditional backpack.
Community-building events also took place after school. On Thursday afternoon, a brave contingent of the faculty put their pain tolerance to the test in a hot wings eating competition, organized by seniors Will Liao ’22 and Richard Abiuso ’22. Friday evening will see the return of the Regis-Xavier Tripleheader, which will pit the Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity Basketball squads against Xavier’s for a series of matches to remember. Games begin at 3:45 p.m. and will be available to watch via livestream.
