Regis Rep Musicals Return with Little Shop of Horrors
Before the Christmas break, the Regis Repertory gifted the school community with a stunning production of Little Shop of Horrors. With breathtaking performances from the cast and remarkable set design and props, the show welcomed 700 audience members from December 14-17, emerging as a true success.
“This is the first full-fledged musical The Regis Repertory has been able to put up on stage since 2019,” said moderator Ms. Gena Reisig. “Our cast and crew worked tirelessly to pull off this amazing show, and we were thrilled to welcome back our esteemed director and choreographer, Ms. Maura Malloy. We are all so incredibly excited about the Regis Rep coming back into its full glory once again.”
Avery Espiritu '23 led the production as Seymour Krelborn, performing alongside Dominican Academy's Kelly Lukito as Audrey. A number of Regians and students from Regis' sister schools contributed to the show with their own many talents, working in the principal cast, ensemble, and stage management and crew teams.
“Rehearsal and performing in this exhilarating production with an amazing director and a cast full of energy and talent has been such a marvelous experience,” said Espiritu. “It truly feels like the Rep is back to its former glory."
