Regians Attend March for Life
On Friday, January 20, twenty-three Regians participated in the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. Joined by Mr. Dave Bonagura '99, Ms. Teresa Moriarty, Mr. Seamus Wiseman '17, and students from St. Vincent Ferrer High School, the group travelled to the nation's capital to stand with others and advocate for the right to life for all.
Celebrating Mass at Regis with Fr. Arthur Bender, SJ ’67 before departing, the students gathered on the Washington Mall alongside other Catholic and Jesuit schools, organizations, and individuals, listening to a number of speeches emphasizing their shared mission and purpose. Attendees then proceeded with their march, reflecting on the sanctity of life and the importance of defending the most vulnerable.
“It is an important opportunity seeing people from across our nation come together every year to lend their voice to this issue," shared Bonagura, chair of the Language Department and moderator of Amate Vitam, Regis' pro-life club. “All life should be respected and cherished, and engaging in passionate and constructive dialogues with so many different people has made the March an impactful experience for our students."
