Members of Catalyst Program Write Letters to Veterans
Eleven members of Catalyst, Regis's service organization, sent messages to veterans in advance of a Patriot Project event on December 5. The Patriot Project supports veterans of our armed forces by providing housing services, health care resources, counseling on the transition to civilian life, and job placement coaching. Students wrote letters and produced a video that were given to veterans attending the event.
The Patriot Project event was hosted at the Maryknoll Society Center in Ossining, N.Y., which is operated by the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers Foundation, an international society of priests and brothers that seeks to help those in need.
"Through their service, they have fully lived and personified the phrase Deo et Patriae," said Joshua Jung '25, chair of the Patriot Project committee within Catalyst. "We as Regians use this motto as guidance to help us become something greater than ourselves."
