Two Student-Athletes Sign Letters of Intent
This week marked the start of early signing dates for student-athletes interested in making commitments to their college of choice. On Thursday, November 9, two Regis athletes announced their intentions for next year.
Matt Clarkin ’18 has signed a letter sealing his commitment to the College of the Holy Cross, a Division I school participating in the Patriot League. In his two varsity seasons, Clarkin has pitched 109.1 innings, and posted a 10-3 record with a 1.15 ERA. He has struck out 149 batters and has allowed only 70 hits in his varsity career at Regis. He was named to the CHSAA All-League Archdiocese 1st Team, as well as News 12 Varsity 2017 All-NYC Honorable mention team. Prior to playing for Regis, Clarkin played for the 2012 New England Little League World Series team.
Ed Jarvis ’18 has signed a letter sealing his commitment to Northeastern University, a Division I school participating in the Colonial Athletic Association Conference. In his two varsity seasons, Jarvis has earned a career batting average of .438 (84 for 192) with 5 Home Runs, 17 Doubles, and 42 RBIs. He was named to the CHSAA All-League Archdiocese 2nd Team, as well as News 12 Varsity 2017 All-NYC Honorable mention team.
