Ignatian Identity and Formation

Our Office of Ignatian Identity and Formation animates the central dynamics of Regis's mission as a Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition. We operate at the critical intersection where the yearning of our faith that seeks understanding meets the prophetic invitation of our faith to build God’s kingdom of justice and charity. Our team of pastoral ministers strives to engage our entire community — students, parents, staff, and alumni — in a wide array of creative and collaborative activities of prayer, leadership, enrichment, and service.

Belonging, Dignity, and Justice

Regis's Catholic and Jesuit mission calls each of us to become more loving so that we can “set the world on fire.” Our faith and values affirm that every person is created in the image of God and that we are transformed through genuine encounters with people from a broad range of backgrounds, identities, perspectives, and experiences. Therefore, Regis strives to cultivate a diverse community — one that thrives when we each experience a healthy sense of self, respect, and care.

Service

The Christian Service Program provides Regians with experiences that stimulate growth in community engagement, relationship building, and social awareness. By introducing active involvement in their community, students will grow in openness to new opportunities and relationships by connecting with others from different backgrounds.

Retreats

Our retreat program emphasizes that students are the living examples of Christ in our community. Our year-specific retreat offerings are designed to assist our students as they seek to find God in all things, reach a greater awareness of God’s action in their lives, and deepen their relationship with Christ through the supportive faith communities they discover at Regis and in the wider Church.

Cocurriculars

Students can explore their passions through a broad range of cocurricular activities, including clubs, culture and identity groups, performance arts opportunities, publications, and service-based programs. Regis seeks to foster the integrated spiritual, intellectual, social, and affective growth of our students, and our cocurricular groups promote this growth outside the classroom while offering an opportunity to build community.

Global Education

Students at Regis have many opportunities to serve and learn from people beyond the New York area. We offer a wide range of trips across five continents for service, cultural exchange, and learning. These trips, which take place during the summer or other breaks from school, complement our academic and Ignatian formation programs.
